Zout is the second short film by Kees van Hattum. Starring Tycho Plooyer, Duncan Meijering and Daphne Gakes.

 

Johan was content with the life he had. But then on one morning he can’t seem to find his salt shaker,

 nor his wife.

 

Zout is a comedy with absurdist undertones and a strong visual style. The film premiered on April 1st in Cinema het Ketelhuis in Amsterdam. Afterwards it was screened at Yakfa Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award. Later the film went international when it was selected for Ozark shorts.
